The Siegel Group’s Historic Virginian Hotel Unveils Giant Mural by Local Artist, Transforming Downtown Reno

Reno, NV, Oct. 1, 2024 – The Siegel Group is excited to announce the completion of a stunning new mural on the historic Siegel Suites Virginian (formerly the Virginian Hotel-Casino), created by the artist and native Nevadan Derek Douglas, whose motivation came from his daughter, while hoping to provide inspiration for all the future that lies ahead. Another native Nevadan artist, Anthony Catillo, executed the 17-story mural by himself over a 3 week period. This vibrant piece is part of an expansive initiative to integrate art into the heart of the city, transforming blank walls into inspiring works of public art.
